This Saturday, March 8, the Hoy No Circula program will be in effect in several localities of the State of Mexico, such as Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ixtapaluca, Coacalco de Berriozábal, La Paz, Cuautitlán, Naucalpan de Juárez, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Nezahualcóyotl, Chalco, Nicolás Romero, Chimalhuacán, Tecámac, Chicoloapan, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Ecatepec de Morelos, Tultitlán, Huixquilucan, and Valle de Chalco.
The Hoy No Circula applies to vehicles with license plates ending in even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, and 0) with hologram 1, as well as for cars with hologram 2 and out-of-state plates. Vehicles with holograms 0 and 00 are exempt from this restriction, as are private cars of healthcare workers with a valid credential, ambulances, vehicles for people with disabilities, and electric vehicles.
There will be no double Hoy No Circula this Saturday, as air quality remained acceptable on Friday, March 7. The program is implemented only in case of environmental contingencies to reduce ozone particles. Precautions are recommended, and it is advised to keep updated on Saturday's Hoy No Circula, which aims to reduce pollution in Mexico City and municipalities of the State of Mexico, part of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico.
It is noteworthy that on Saturday, March 8, there will be demonstrations in Mexico City in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
